I'm after some comfy heated seats to fit into my defender.

These are readily available at a good price and look to have a short enough base.

Thought someone might have tried some out while gt17 hunting?

I found them comfy, they probably weigh a bit though!

EDIT: if they're going in your defender im sure weight won't be an issue anyway. lol

I have a 2002 95 Aero. The seats are the best bit (well the engine is pretty good too), really good on long journeys and lovely on a cold morning.

Nice idea, please whack some pics in the thread as I will plaigarise this idea if it works, mine are passed their best and as it takes ages for the heater to wake up!

Cheers

Cheers guys they are top of the winterizing list now i'll update when they are in.

I serviced the heater last winter but it was still useless at 4am on the icy mornings. I am planning to also fit a heated windscreen and redirect the heater to the side windows.

a little off topic but I recall an article many years ago regarding sick leave in the traffic devision of a particular police force due to back pain. This was compared with another force that had literally no issues. The differance was that the force with all the problems generally had a fleet of vauxhalls whereas the other force were using Saabs. A bit of research found that Saab put a hell of an effort into seat and posture developement at the time (shows the likley age of the article as it was probably before GM took control).

In short, said police force changed the seats in the vauxhalls for Recaros if i recall correctly and issues reduced significantly

Richard had saab seats in his mini van, so they can't be too difficult to squeeze in other cars.

The ones I have are the full electric leather versions. You can get those in all sorts of positions.
