Hi All
I was planning to remove the breather pipe between the timing chain cover breather and the inlet manifold, and replacing with a small filter on the timing case breather. When I blocked up the 1 way valve going into the inlet manifold the mixture went really rich, and I couldn’t lean it off at all by adjusting the mixture screw. Should this happen? Or would it suggest there’s a problem somewhere else – Blockage / pipe work connected wrong etc.

Cheers
Nick.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

Utilise and reinstate, the timing cover breather and utalise the breather over the clutch housing,

T these two togeater and run them into a catch tank, the A sreies engine likes to be. able to breath well! !. The way you we're going to Do it would gas you out in the cab,

You would also benefit from one on the rocker cover Teed also to the catch tank,

Hope this helps

Thanks for the advice mate. Would you recommend using a sealed catch can or one with a little breather on top?

One with, the breather on and a plastic tube to tell you how full it is, then you can drain it.

the catch can will nead to have a breather, otherwise the system will remain pressurised.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
