Possible stupid question:- fuel line return

Morning gents,

Another 'new to a-series turbo' question for you - I tried the search function, but no joy.

After changing the head gasket (see previous explosive thread) i've reassembled the car in the same state it was before the blow out.

What appears to be the fuel return is plumbed into the bottom of the plenum. Is this right? seems a bit of an odd place for the return? i would have thought it was one of the many blocked off points on the carb body itself.

I'll take some pics tonight, but thought i'd ask as it may be a simple response.

worth noting the car runs fine, and doesn't appear to have any fueling issues - head gasket was a lot easier to do than i expected, and she fired up first time, with 70psi oil pressure (bodes well for the future )

The fuel return should come from the bottom of the fuel pressure regulator, no where else.

The pipe from the plenum chamber should go to the pressure input to the fuel pressure regulator.

Are you confusing the plenum with the pressure reg?

Ah ok, so the plenum return goes to the pressure reg? so when the turbo is boosting, it ups the fuel pressure?

that explains it. i can't see all the lines and their end points on the install due to location of the reg.

Plenum left, fuel reg right.

Fuel reg top-left hose to plenum.
Fuel reg bottom-left hose to carb (loops round the back of the carb)
Fuel reg right hose to fuel pump (red tape)
Fuel reg bottom hose fuel return (peaking out behind the blue hose)
