Obviously selling my car didn't end in a sale, we all know breaking is probably the only and best route to take to recoup maximum value from the car.

So starting with my engine, what sort of value can you place on a fully working engine? a few piccys included from during build time, obviously the engine is now in the car and running so can be driven. Currently 2000miles.

I guess there could be a few pricing options ie with/without gearbox, w/wo megajolt, w/wo other ancillaries etc

(typo on the EDIS '3' has since been corrected)

From my experience you'll get the easiest sale and best return from splitting it into major lumps and selling them.

even splitting the engine? I was hoping that would at least sell as one major lump.

I would be interested in the trigger wheel if you split and possibly the rear back box

best to split mate; you were never gonna get 8k for it or whatever it was on for on ebay but the engine is where your money will be made as ppl will want bits for there own stuff.

I seem to have been attacked by vultures!

To all the requests for parts in this thread and via PM I will get back to you *IF* I break.

My primary concern is selling the engine, preferably as a complete head block gearbox combo so until I can get a sale on that sorted I wont be breaking anything else.

Re the original 'whats it worth' does £2000 sound reasonable? broken down as short engine £750, £500ea for head and box, £250 for extras clutch, fly, rockers, drops, idler, oil & water pump. No manifolds, carb or turbo obv.

i've seen an engine on egay with everything... i mean everything..

1293, forged pistons etc, mirage, t2 MJ, exhaust..... basically a bolt in replacement kit and that went for 2.5k! so im sure if you listed the engine on ebay as a bolt in kit with management you may just make a kids christmas and feed your wallet :)
