ok, i have my engine and box have had it for a while now, and just wondering how easy should it turn?
the engine has been stood for a while and does turn, (no head on it) but only with a socket on the crank, you cant turn it by hand.
my old 1 litre will turn freely by hand, should i be worried i know you might say take the box off but i do want to avoid this if i can will it just be becouse the oil has left the bearings etc?

thanks, Dan

Dan you must be smoking something to even suggest running an engine without looking at it's internal condition.

Strip the thing and save yourself the heart ache later.
