Think im going to have to sell my estate. But the insurence has just ran out and tax is going in a few weeks too.

Is it worth insuring it while im trying to sell so that I can put more tax on it?

If that makes scence

I was going to suggest:

old insurance certificate -> scanner -> photoshop -> printer -> post office

however there a new law that says if its taxed it ahs to be insured

I wouldn't bother. I wouldn't be bothered either way if a car has tax or not when buying it.

The only time when tax may b eworth it is on a knacker that you're gong to run til the tax an mot run out.

Just insure it, tax it and then before your 14 days "change your mind time" make sure its sold and your insurance is cancelled you get about 95% your money back. It will allow you to test drive it, allow the buyer to drive away without faffing around trying to buy tax. useful for a weekend perchaser
