hi all, finally coming to the end of the body work and need to start putting some money to one side for the re-spray. But what should i be looking at for a complete bare shell re-spray. mainly new panels, fibre front doors and bootlid. also can anyone recomend anyone on the north of england im happy to trailer it to somewhere of good quality and good value.

I'm happy with mine done at mini mine. It will be at Combe if you want to have a look. IMO a good price too... I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

You can save yourself a lot of money if you do the prep work yourself - even to the point of hiring a small compressor and gun to apply the high build primer, so that the sprayer only has to put the top coat on |

Many good painters won't touch a job that's already been prepped, good finish all depends how well its been prepped, there not going to risk it. Audi s4 b5 - 470bhp & 486ft lbs

My car was dipped. I etched and stone chipped the underneath and the rest cost £2k.

the quality of a paint job is generally all in the prep work. Time = money. A few short cuts and a bit of penny pinching will be a regret longer term. In simple terms, you get what you pay for.

The cost of the paint and filler materials alone will set you back near £500

i paid 2200 inc new front panel, bonnet and back to bare metal. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

i used my 10 quid paint gun , draughty wooden shed ,metallic and clear coat on my carbon front end . cost 50 quid odd total .came out bizarrely well . Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM |
