Need new pistons

Hi,

If someone can help me, will be greatful.

I am a newbie to the turbo scence, I am looking to buy a 1293cc turbo engine, that needs new pistons and rings, maybe a re-bore, but will need to see.

My question today is, does any one know which pistons I would need to rebuild this again, where I can get them from in the London area and what sort of cost would I be looking at for just the parts alone, as I will build it back up myself?

I am not to sure, as I have not seen the engine in person yet, just looking at cost and if it will be worthwhile to buy.
All I know is that it is a 1293cc overbored from a 1275 a+ engine

Minispares are in potters bar, you won't know what pistons you need untill you know what's inside your current engine

Ok well I was thinking it may of been cheaper, it might be easier to convert my NA 1275 A+ to a turbo, what would I need to do this conversion?

ugrade oil pump and alter compression ratio thats about it really normaly the metro turbo engine are thrashed and need a good over haul. but there the same as a na 1275

when you say alter the compression ratio, what sort of ratio would I need go to?
And is this done via skimming the head or by a decompression head gasket plate?
Would I not need to change the pistons and head or do the NA version work fine?
And obviously I would need a turbo, turbo carb and turbo plenium.
Would the original dizzy and original coil work with this?

Bobby, may I suggest you use the search button, many of your questions have been asked before. There is a wealth of info on this site and if after a search your still not sure of the answer most of the guys and girls on here will be more that willing to help out.
