Hi Guys,

as the title says really do you bother adding loctite to the bolts that go through the grey plate and flywheel?

Cheers
Dan

Here's what happened to the taper on a turbo lump I bought that someone decided not to loctite.

I may be incorrect, but I recall reading that if you add loctite, then the torque setting will have changed

I've never loctited anything clutch related and never had a problem.

As Andy I have never used lock tight on clutch parts, done loads of mini clutches no problem, the problem with the one you bought Mike is was ill fitted on taper and not torqued up tight enough or lock tab not done right..

A long time ago in the years when you could buy a mini out of the news paper adds for 30 pounds, a runner or spares it used to say, I bought one of those and when i took the engine out and striped it down, I found some one had welded the flywheel onto the crank shaft, needless to say i scraped it because as I said, you could get the engines and spares dead cheap..
