Which of these would be better mounted at the front, do I get a front mounted radiator, or mount the intercooler at the front and leave the radiator where it is. Is there anything besides the alternator that's going to get in the way?

I know the swift alternator is recommended as a smaller unit. But there are loads of japanese bike alternators on ebay, would any of these do the job?

Get the intercooler up front, you shouldn't have any trouble with a decent side mounted rad. You could always add a small auxiliary rad if needed.
You'll find the dizzy and the starter motor with the piggy back solenoid will limit how much space you have. Using a side exit dizzy cap and a starter with seperate solenoid frees up a little more space.

Nissan micra's have the slightly larger NipponDenso alternator ie larger than the swift/charade unit - so that sounds like a bollox program!

Bike alternators are usually gear /shaft driven. Guess you could modify them?
Some mini-diggers and generators have motorbike sized alternators - probably a better bet - but not much power output mind!
