Hi,

I am getting my hands on a original mg turbo engine soon hopefully.

Just wanted to find out if I was to upgrade the turbo, which turbo's can be used on these?

There is no direct swap.

But there is lots of choice, T2, T25, GT15, GT17, GT20, HIH RHF4, K03......... The list is big

As Fab says, 'first choose your power class, then choose your weapons'

i.e. the amount of power you want will dictate the turbo you choose.

I thought you already had an engine? an original mg turbo engine isn't going to give you any advantages over what you already have.

No I have a NA 1330cc engine, that looking to convert into a turbo

So you are turboing the 1330 what do you need another engine for?!

The MG lump will be a 1275 so you cant use the pistons out of it, all that engine might give you that's useful is the cam if its better than the one in the 1330

I presumed that the turbo engine came with all the turbo gubbins like turbo, carb, manifolds etc......

possibly, but if he's talking about changing the turbo straight away then the carb/manifold/gubbins can be found elsewhere without having an extra engine laying around?

Yeah I know will have a extra engine, but get all the gubbings to convert to the turbo and then maybe make some money on that block

Extra engines are good. They can be used when you trash the current one!
