Gents im off to york tonight a1036 to the mount just passed the race corse for 7.00
Ive then to get to markington inbetween harrogate and ripon so im planning on going down the a59 to knaresbrough then looks like up the a61 towards ripon ??
Do you guys no if the route is ok with the floods etc as i carnt seam to find owt out !!

A1 is close up to J49 according to the flashy signs on the M1

The area around the racecourse has some floodimng but is all ok roadwise.

The A59 has some traffic light around Kirk Hammerton where there is a flood across the road. Was a bit slow yesterday evening, but not too bad this morning.

Knaresborough can be a pain, another route is up the A168 (runs right next to the A1), then through Arkendale, Satveley and Burton Leonard.

But if the A1 is shut the A168 can be busy.

What he said .^, its been a nightmare in town but you will be fine where you are going,no reason why you would go near but avoid the a19 at fulford its shut and leeman road/water end around where the a59 goes into york as that was shut earlier,been out at a little place called stillingfleet today, next to that is naburn which was totally cut off, all roads flooded!

Sorry for the late reply, thankyou very much for your help.
Got to york ok, had to que more than usuall down past racecorse but made sure id allowed time, then was all clear down a59, then managed to jump on link road back home.
Just got in, lol
