Hi all,

I know this is a turbo forum, but thought I will get some advise if I could.

I have been running a c16se with a coil pack in my mk1 mini for a while now, but I had a problem couple of months ago and my front end caught on fire, whilst I was working on her, with a slight petrol leak.
When working on my starter motor there was a slight petrol leak from the inlet housing, which i new about, as I had to take it of to get access to the starter. long story, short it caught on fire slightly. Luckly it did not cause alot of damage, only damage is the wires on my loom got burn't and the rocker cover vauxhall sign melted slighty.

Now I am looking to get my baby back on the road, but in the need of a wiring loom, and my question is:

Which vauxhall car looms will suit my engine, is there quite a few or only one from the c16se?

please help and if anyone has a loom that will be suitable or knows anyone who has, then please PM me.

i would buy a basic mk1,2 or 3 loom depending on the switchgear you are using then build an engine loom to suit the car and engine.

Pulling a loom from a vauxshite corsa or somthing stripping all the unused nonsense out of it then adapting it to fit the mini is more work imo.

Speak to Jim if you dont feel confident about making one he is very good at making looms
