Just managed to finish rebuilding my carb, and I have a few spare parts left over!?

These are the spares from the original stuff:

These are the spares from the re-build kit:

I'm hoping that all the other spares are from the HIF44E carb and not mine!?

Cheers

Hypothetically speaking, where would you stick your nozzle?

Have you got a clamp fitted on the screw damper thing. It's a good idea to have one.

I replaced all the throttle spindle seals, and the choke seal.

I replaced the 2 rubber O rings on the choke spindle and also the 2 O rings on the float chamber and dash pot.

Replaced the jet, throttle spindle, throttle disc, throttle disc screws and the 3 screws for the dashpot and the 4 screws on the bottom for the float chamber.

I don't think there was anything else left to replace that was in the kit?

The kit you bought, to overall the carb with covers more than one model so you will have parts left over..

The round fiber washer is to go under the dashpot piston top, and the clamp is then fitted around that. I never use the clamp though.

The small metal clip fits on the top of the dashpot plunger to stop it falling out (You probably used your old one).

The small spring washers will be for the float bow screws or the dashpot screws.

The rest of the bits seem to be options for other carbs.

Don't think I've ever seen a dashpot piston clamp? What does it do and where does it go?

All the turbo carbs were fitted with them. It's supposed to stop the damper popping out. But it's overkill and not needed.
