2-4hp claim - Not so sure about that, it's not like spray actually generates real drag like a conventional sump would - but when you're after the last few hp, every little is there...

I wouldn't have thought that #1 lobe would get any spray anyway (due to a lack of gears underneath) - but it doesn't seem to wear any less/more than others...

The bearings are pressure fed, but the lobes aren't.

Yes the lobes are definately a 'splash' feed, although I suppose that some oil must find its way down past the followers?

I always give the followers a good coat of graphogen when building engines to make sure on first startup to make sure though.....
