Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

That is not the original number then. all the non cooper 1275 varients were started 12, and all the 998's starter 99. See a pattern? The cooper varients al started with 9F 99H - H 998 A L n/a n/a Last of production (1969) (last of production what? this was at the top of the 9F cooper list, so is it the last of the 998 production cooper engine? no idea, but its the clossest match to what you have 9AD 998 A L F C Austin, Wolseley Hornet/Riley MKII with remote gearbox, closed circuit breathing 9AE 998 A L F C Wolseley Hornet/Riley Elf MKIII 9WR 998 A L F C Wolseley Hornet/Riley Elf MKII pre closed circuit breathing 99H - 101 --> 998 A L D C Wolseley/Riley Mini Clubman, Mini 1000cc 1970 on MKIII 99H 791 998 A L D C Mini 1974 on 99H 907P 998 A+ L F C Metro, 9.6:1CR, A series Main caps 99H 962P 998 A+ L F C 3.44 FD, 9.6:1CR (Slimer) 99H 997 --> 127421 998 A+ L F C 2.95 FD, A series Main caps 99H 997 127422 --> 998 A+ L F C 2.9 FD 99H A06 --> 08 998 A+ L F I Metro, 10.3:1CR 99H A53P 998 A+ L F I 99H A64P 998 A+ L F I Metro, 8.3:1CR 99H A65 --> 66 998 A+ L F I Metro, 10.3:1CR 99H A67P 998 A+ L F I Metro, 9.6:1CR 99H A68 --> 69 998 A+ L F I Metro, 8.3:1CR 99H A70P 998 A+ L F I Metro, 10.3:1CR 99H A71P 998 A+ L F I Metro, 9.6:1CR 99H A75P 998 A+ L F I Metro, 10.3:1CR 99H A97P 998 A+ L D C 3.44 FD, A Series Main caps, A series Gearset, 12" wheels 99H B38P 998 A+ L F I Metro, 9.6:1CR 99H B39P 998 A+ L F I Metro, 8.3:1CR 99H B81 --> 127431 998 A+ L F C 99H B81 127432 --> 998 A+ L F I 99H B83P --> 102908 998 A+ L D C 99H B84P --> 100216 998 A+ L D C 99H B87 --> 89 998 A+ L F I Metro, 9.6:1CR 99H B90 --> 93 998 A+ L F I Metro, 10.3:1CR 99H B94 --> 95 998 A+ L F I Metro, 9.6:1CR 99H B96 --> 99 998 A+ L F I Metro, 8.3:1CR 99H C20 --> 105023 998 A+ L F C 99H C20 105024 --> 998 A+ L F I 99H D27 --> 31 998 A+ L F I Metro, 10.3:1CR 99H D30P --> 31P 998 A+ L F I Metro, 9.6:1CR 99H D32 --> 35 998 A+ L F I Metro, 8.3:1CR 99H D80 998 A+ L F I 99H D81 998 A+ UL F I 99H D83P 102909 --> 998 A+ UL D I 99H D84P 100217 --> 998 A+ UL D I 99H E20 998 A+ UL F I 99H E21 998 A+ UL F I 99H E22 998 A+ UL D I 99H E35 998 A+ UL F I Metro, 9.6:1CR 99H E38 --> 39 998 A+ UL F I Metro, 8.3:1CR 99H E67 --> 998 A+ UL F I Metro, 9.6:1CR 99H F15 998 A+ UL F I 99H F16 998 A+ UL F I 99H G30 998 A+ UL F I 99H G31 998 A+ UL D I 99H G32 998 A+ UL F I 99H G33 998 A+ UL F I On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:
