The turbo on my 06 BMW 525D has started letting oil through. None of the Norwegian suppliers want to sell me rebuild kits as they only want to sell new turbos. Has anyone got any connections?

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I just bought this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Turbo-Rebuild-Re...=item4ab5be8c70

It's a VNT, but all I need is is the bearing and seals.

I bought the rebuild kit (and a new wheel/shaft) from eBay for my GT1749V (VNT) - Mondeo TDCi

I think the bearings/seals is the same kit (obviously shaft/wheel different).

I didn't find it being a VNT a problem - Just make sure the turbine housing is the right way up when you seperate the core, otherwise you will have guide vanes, actuating ring, rollers, and pins in a big heap - a massive jigsaw puzzle as the setup isn't symettric.

EDIT - added from eBay

It's fantastic. Really! Yes there are some niggles with them as with most cars, maybe more, I don't know. Anyway, the combination of sportyness and comfort is great. If towing a lot in high speeds I'd choose a 530 or a face lifted 525 (Which is 3 litre) Mine is 2,5.

I've got the comfort seats which are mandatory!!

Oh, I don't like that it constantly reminds me to do something about the trailer:

^ Its EU law Veg. Personally I think these 'warnings' are great, you can be a lazy twat and just plug the trailer in, jump in, and off you go.

One thing it doesn't tell you though is if the indicators are crossed. I stopped 78000 litres of Guinness near us and told the driver he nearly caused a head on collission twice on The Bridge. Wouldn't believe me and had a look himself, but still wouldn't believe it lol

If you're getting warnings all the time though, without a trailer plugged in, check the socket. On my Insignia, there is a seperate switch built into it, that tells the ECU something is plugged into it.
