Hi everybody,

I'm a long time reader of the forum and I thought it was about time to introduce myself.

As the subject says already I'm from the Netherlands, from the East to be exact and I'm playing around with Mini's since the last 22 years. For quite a while I have already the plan to build a turbo Mini myself, but till now no time, although time is coming now.

At the moment I have a '73 Mini 1000 in a very good condition, and the plan is to convert this one to a 1300 turbo. I have a couple of 1275 A series standing which need a overhaul anyhow, so now I'm trying to find the specific turbo parts, and they are hard to find here. I'm specifically looking after the carb and the plenum, I want to use the Mirage manifold with the GT1752.

Till now this forum gave me a lot of ideas, and a lot of my questions are answered already. I hope later on that I can give some positive input as well when I start building my own engine.

there is nothing wrong with a A-series that a turbo can't fix.

If you have some skills you might be able to weld your own exhaust manifold; this has been doen by a few (for instance Matty).

@ Yo-Han, my welding skills are similar to zero, I still have the plan to do something about it, but time......... *oh well*
