Was wondering is there anyway i can safely remove the flywheel without a flywheel puller, dont fancy damaging it but dont have a puller.

Cheers

Go buy a puller.

That'll be the flywheel in a dangerous condition or bent, and the crank potentially bent then.

Years ago before I knew any better I used to always get flywheels off the a series using a hammer. More often than not smashing the transfer gear housing in the process.

If you are buying a puller, try and get one from the 60's/70's from ebay. They are of far better quality. I've snapped/damaged loads of the modern poop ones.

That said, they are only any good for pre verto clutches.

3 for verto flywheel and 3 bolds for pre verto as there a different thread, make sure the thread is well greased on the main bolt, the washers go on the 3 bolts you use for your flywheel and the 3 bolts go through the triangle plate and bolt into the flywheel, the thick stepped spacer fits in the end of the crank again make sure its well greased stop the flywheel turning and tighten up ..... a lot

dont forget to stand to the side the flywheel can ping off and land on your toes

And if it's a verto clutch, be patient. They have a small habit of sticking to the crankshaft.
