i am currently removing a head from a 1.4 16v corsa and its far far worse than the mini space wise

Old mans Audi Quattro turbo. To change the air filter you have to remove the front bumper and the o/s headlight.......what a ball ache.....

modern bays are gettin tighter and tighter cause they use computers to design them and pack everything in as neat as possible.

Yep, I have just left working for ford and I feel sorry for the people who have to change batteries on a C-MAX in the future!!

P.S - Tom, If you have an Audi Quattro turbo I think its the sort of thing you would put up with cause its a nice car.

Has anybody ever found an easy way of disconnecting a speedo cable on a mini with th engine in? I cant get my meat loafs through any of the holes :-p and struggled.

i hate minis, but love attention

leave the inlet manifold attached, disconnect the loom, and fuel lines and manifold and pull it off, they are easy!

Its a 2 hour job to get one off, I would advise changing the idlers and rollers, and tensioner as all 1400 16v's are ecoshite with plastic rollers...
