Quick question although mainly probably aimed at Alex i guess as he is the big boss on this.

Is there a way you can follow a thread so if i search and think ok i can use that later mark the thread and then in my CP i have a list of marked topics im following. Suppose im referring to a bit like TMF but i've no idea how these boards are made up and the different types.

I've just got a bookmark folder on my computer of topics I think will be useful to me?

I guess a forum based feature would be fairly useful though

For me, part of the charm of TM is that it doesn't bother you with emails etc. You have to come and have a look and take part. I like the forum engine as is, does the job nicely.

OK so maybe TM doesn't have some of the features that the common as dog muck IPB forums have, but what it does have, and beats the IPB boards by fucking miles, is a search function that WORKS.

what forum sends you emails :p its just a follow option.

only came to mind as the other day i was browsing around and i came across a post with some cool bits in and now for the life of me i cant find it. having this feature just came to me as i'd "followed" it and just gone to my cp to reference back to it. speaking personally i use a pc at work, home, ipad, iphone so sometimes the favorites thing isn't always a viable option for when i need it to use said reference.

cant argue with the search function though....however that wasnt really ever questioned and still is one reason why i search on tm before any other forum. btw whats ipb :p

Yes the search function on here actually works thats a very usefull tool :)

However I do find myself commenting or creating posts/topics/threads and forgetting all about them for about 3/4 weeks then cant find the buggers again.

Either way this forum is good and it works well :)

I think a post follower would be good, i have trouble sometimes searching as my spelling is rubbish, i mainly use my phone as well, as its old and shit it doesnt have a very good spell check lol.

I think there should also be a senior member area as well as the member area as sometimes things get a little heated. Also maybe as a forum rule give people a 5 post buffer before tonns of abuse, there could be alot of people were missing out on who could help us all on the forum as we are a little heavy handed sometimes to newbys (myself included)
