Have a 1275 metro turbo in my mini with a standard turbo HIF44. I have modified BDD needle for running 10psi of boost (intercooler in place).

At idle the AFR is at a reasonable 14-1 and I have checked the fuel pressure and it is at about 4 as it should be. I have the boost dialed down until i get to the rolling road and it is at the std 4 psi. As soon as I am on the throttle the AFR goes to 10-1 and the car boggs down.

I am headed to the rolling road to try and work out the tune Friday but wanted to eliminate any potential issues I can before I am on the clock. Could this all be related to the lower boost and the modified needle or does anyone have any smoking guns I can look into. Appreciate the help!

Matt

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

Matt the profile I suspect has been profiled too rich, I would fit a standard BDD needle back at only 10. Pounds of boost you will get it right with then screw on the carb, especially. If the engine has not been modded say head and cam ....... what's the spec of the engine matt
