Anyone using the full blown installation yet?

Seem quite good, and slightly faster than before.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Upgrades are 24.99 for a limited time if you just use the download.

Machi e now runs much faster but I think it cache's more.

I've used it in a few places, both at work and at home on my netbook, and I didn't enjoy it at all. A really unpleasant experience over all.

It wouldn't support my netbook properly which stopped me from running any Metro apps at all, and the new start menu combination has clearly been designed purely for touch based devices like phones and tablets, so why that has been released for home computers as well, I will never know.

Hopefully it might improve with a few updates, but I dislike it so far.

Been using it for a few months now and its great, much quicker than Windows 7 too.

Remember the metro bit isn't Windows 8, its just a very small part of it, a part that if I'm honest I see maybe 4-5 times a day. It has been designed for a touch interface but works perfectly well with a mouse, if you cant click a big colourful box with a little mouse pointer then you should probably move away from the computer.

The key I've found to making the metro screen work for people is to just imagine it as a full screen start menu (because that's all it is), previously you would click start and have to scroll through loads of stuff to find what you wanted, 80% you probably never used. The Win 8 start screen (metro bit) is a full screen start menu only showing you what you want, essentially shortcuts to the programs you use. Of course you can also install Metro Apps as well, for those that do great, for those that don't wont notice anything different from Win 7 by not using them.

You can of course just disable the metro screen and put the start menu back if you dislike that one small part of the OS so much.
