Hiya

does anybody have some cam figures handy

I need it for simulation input
type of cam not really important.. something in the 266 to 280 region would do fine
the normal : in /ex opens & closes in degrees.

but here it gets tricky
Opening ramp duration
Closing ramp duration
Dwell in degrees

cheers

You wont find that data for an A Series cam anywhere.

Here's a plot of the ramps on some factory cams:

Dwell is normally negligable, but its significance depends on the polynomial used by the software.

Also, don't use the stated duration verbatim. From my measurements the 255, 266 & 276 type numbers are nowhere near the actual off-seat values. Some are higher and some are lower, so it's not as if they use a consistant lift value.

thanx ( a little late) I figured it out .. sort of. I'd better make a ,measurement rig or find someone with a proper cam measurement set up to do it for me.
