i have tried to look on the search but cant find anything. i have just rebuilt my hif44 n/a carb using a turbo rebuild kit and used mr fentons excellent how to. now, when it comes to putting the dashpot back on the carb body, it says to fit the big seal between the 2. how the hell do i do that when there isnt a groove for it to sit in. is it just for the turbo carbs and will it matter if i havent got it?
balls to the blower!!!

You'll have to machine a groove into the carb body. Turbo carbs have the groove, NA's dont. "So wat we gonna do tonight Brain?"

I wacked the dash-pot in the lathe and cut a groove in the bottom edge where it rests against the carb body, works ok but the seal falls out every now and then when I remove the dash-pot.
