Having fitted a rear beam and with camber and track adjustment my question is two fold:

1. What setting do aim for as a base line

2. Knowing that the camber is easy to set with a relatively cheap gauge(£35), is it possible to do the tracking alignment with the DIY kit that's available for about £120 that rest on the wheels. I cannot find any info on using them on the rear.

What has/does everyone else do?

Thanks chaps

James

What gauges are you talking about?

Before I had access to tracking gauges I used bits of string ans a ruler.

Nothing beats these for cheap and accurate tracking setting.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

I use an even cheaper solution with 2 homemade identical wood boards held in place with bungycords and a 2 m ruler. Its not as posh as the Longacre's tho :)

Think I have sussed it - Because you are only swinging around a fixed point (outside of the radius arm), once the camber is set and I bring the arms both in (or out ) and the readings between the front of the board and the rear match they are in line.

Have I got this correct?
