Hi all,

I am having a lot of trouble with my 1330cc engine holding, I really would like to find a mobile mechanic in my area.

I am based in Hounslow, Middlesex, London.

Anyone out there, please give me a shout, as I need you help.

Hi all I have not done any thing in regards to the turbo yet, as I am still gathering parts.

I am just trying to get this running so I can drive to work, as I am using my dads car for work and he wants it back now.

So basically, I bought this NA 1330cc engine, and put in into the car, and it just was not holding properly, was running really rough. So I thought it would of been fueling, so changed the carb for another one still the problem persists. So finally I thought let me do the head gasket and rebuild my head, so done that with new gasket fitted and valves re-seated. got it started, but still running really rough and will not hold the revs.

I am just totally confused now, hence need the help!!!

Have you got the leads the right way around?
Also have you got the timing set correctey?

Then move on to set the fueling ask the lads above to come sort you out

Hi Ben,

All lead are set the right way, the timing is accurate. In regards to the fueling I am not sure if the air and fuel mixture is correct though, and a bit baffled how to set it

Have you replaced points etc? Sounds like poor condition ignition components, possibly the condensor.

That doesn't mean that they are all working as intended. modern condensors are prone to failure even when brand new
