Very wet south wales

Arite guys

Just a quick question would there be much difference performance wise between the standard 20773 and the +020 ?
Reason i ask is with regards to the thread i posted a bit further down in this forum, i bought conrods to accept the floating +020 pistons i got but theyve turned up today and have the standard 20773s with them.

Would i see a big gain from the +020 pistons or save my coin from the rebore sell the +020s and put it towards work on the head ?

C/r would change slightly so that would affect things

13.95 1/4 mile on a 2.95 fd. Carnt be that hard to beat!

Have you got rings for the standard pistons? are you bore's good enough to be re-used?

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Id replace the rings on them john cos they dont look healthy, as for the reboring guy at the machine shop didnt say they werent good enough.

Didnt think of the c/r eden tbh, good point.

I see your point now john, if my bores are not good id have to have them re-bored anyway.

I wouldn't worry about the CR change, it'll be small.

If the bores are ok and the std pistons are ok, then no reason not to. ask the machinist to check the bores.
