I have fitted a metro turbo engine in my mini. Now I am trying to fit an air intake hose onto the turbo but I cannot see the end of the turbo to measure the diameter of pipe that I need. Thinking of a 90degree bend then pipe over thermostat housing ? Any ideas please |

I think it's 52mm od, however it depends what turbo you have . Mine is on the bench I can check for you later in the week but its a garret t3 so if yours is different the diameter may well be too. |

It's a standard metro turbo from a 1987 car so what turbo is that |

As standard it was a Garret T3 however 99% of metro turbo engines have been taken in and out and played with its no guarantee that the original turbo will be on it , having said that the T3 is capable of enough boost for pretty much any mod so most people stuck with them.
