At Last !! -
After 8+ years of lobbying , petitioning and general ranting -

From 2013 you can run a Mini in the over 1400cc Class in Modified Production Cars

As long as the engine block remains outwardly same as production , then any capacity NA or Boosted is OK !!
*happy*

Thats gonna speed things up a bit, though I'm guessing traction off the line will be an issue!

All you had to do was ask the right person! This is good news though. So will you be getting the minor back out with a K headed turbo monster?

In theory mod prod upto 2000cc.

The airbox may be an issue at some events, but it wouldn't personaly bother me.

as usual with these things it depends on who you beat and whether they are miserable types .
In theory you are not allowed to modify the shell between wheel centres .

You can modify the shell between the hub centres, just not the unitary construction, there is a difference, subtle though.

This is good news,

I think The rules are also open to Interpretation, but the boot floor is a funny one like with the fibre glass front. Most people cut between hub centres on the front and the same in the boot.

I'm sure ill find out all the do's and fonts next year. I think in general people only have a problem with your car if you start winning

Unitary construction is defined as the chassis and bodywork as a single construction. Chassis is then further defined as the structure that supports the majormechanical components and bodywok as that in the airstreem.

Anything other than that is therefore not unitary.

Such things as the rear bins in a mini. and the rear seat, plus a few other bits.

Yes, there is a HSA round there every year at least. Not sure which other clubs riun one.
