Hi Guys
I bought this shell a few weeks ago with the intention of re-building it and keeping it. I now have the offer of a car I have been after for quite some time and so this needs to go.

the following is an exert from the original advertisement.

Classic MK2 Mini shell with many parts. Great Project!

I bought this shell a few years back with the intention of getting it back on the road. I have owned many minis including MK1s & MK2s and can honestly say i'd never seen an early shell like this as solid. Its had a couple of small plates on the floor in the front as you'd expect from the year but nothing major.

Still has the original early flat outer sills in great condition & floor is very solid. Only requires one tiny hole repair in easily accessible footwell now from what I can see.

The A pillars are solid and rust free and the external door hinges & doors open and close great, passengers side slight drop probably needs adjusting

As this was a race car the rear seats have been completely cut away to save weight, as was the rear boot floor. Instead having been replaced by an alluminium sheet. You can pick the rear of the car up including suspension by yourself its so light.

Has a 6 point cage with drivers door bar installed as it was a competition car. Whoever built the car modified the rear shock towers to accept larger diameter coilover suspension and has modified the rear of the cage to join the shock towers. They have also bolted in a rear strut brace.

Shell
Virtually rot free MK2 mini shell (with larger MK2 gutters, external door hinges etc).

6 point roll cage.
Modified rear shock towers.
fibreglass boot lid.
Rear light holes were welded up for racing but can easily be reversed.
Fibreglass Clubman Flip front as pictured.
Large webber carb box installed in bulkhead.
Both doors are in good condition. Have been fitted with plastic windows and made lighter for racing purposes, but still good condition for age.
Racing battery box.
Racing seat, has a tear on right hand side next to harness hole
Small fuel tank fitted to passenger side inner wing
No rear subframe or wheels as shown in pic
No handbrake as shown in pic
No blue Mini badge on grill as shown in pic
Flipfront requires a very small repair to bottom of front panel as it cracked in transit

The shell was bought without an ID as it was an ex-race car (no number plate or chassis number details).

The car will need to be trailered away.

Would like a valuation please so that i can put it up for sale

Cheers....Davey
