Now I am not a big fan of petitions, but this one has a professional group of people also lobbying the government and is sponsored and supported by the MSA. So it is not just a petition, it is a serious proposition. Basically if you want to run a motorsport event on public roads you need an act of parliament to suspend the road traffic act on that road. It can be done, but it is expensive and lots of red tape where it could be managed much better. If this comes to pass then you could organize a sprint, hillclimb, rally, etc on your favorite bit of road, or even on the highstreet!
