hi all

im have been looking at a spare turbo that i have this evening. i wonder if anyone can help with the spec?

there is a tab stating that it is a 'remanucactured' by 'turbo centre, nothants'. i have had a quick google and this looks to be cr turbos. the unit number is not clear though.

there is very little play in the shaft and its all fitted up to the metro ehaust manifold, downpipe, actuator, oil drain, so it looks to have been fited to an a series at some point.

for the interesting part - the compressor housing has 'air research' cast into it, along with 'BCC AR 42. '42' is also cast into the inside of this compressor housing. stamped into the housing is 430947-32

the turbine housing has '28A3' or '2843' along with '2JW M4'

does anyone have any pointers as to what this turbo might be and if it would be any good for a high powered a series turbo?

many thanks, dan

Have a look on the exhaust housing for a cast number .25 .36 .48 etc this will tell you what size it is .25 is standard metro size. What does the compressor hosing look like?
