Are you turning it enough to get compression and then not able to turn it further by hand? Maybe try it with the plugs out. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

As Andy says, take the plugs out and try it, might just be the compression stopping you from turning it by hand. |

Are the con rods in the right way around? If they're in backwards I believe they can foul the block. |

has the dizzy been pulled out so the dizzy drive can make a bid for freedom and touch the crank?

Does it go to a solid stop with as if something is hitting something else, or does it gradualy get harder to turn then stop? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

any idea if it was running before you bought it? if it wasn't it could have been put together wrong, maybe the cam timing is completely out?

Sounds like corrosion in the cylinder, seen an engine like this before where it was poorly stored. The engine turned easily one way or the other then just stopped. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

To get flywheel off without the puller, take off the starter motor then use large drift and a lump hammer strike the flywheel through the starter hole, make sure the drift is sticking beyond the primary case, keep turning the flywheel after two or three hits and don't hit the casing. PS. you may have to take distributor off as well so you can get a good swing at the flywheel, and the drift needs to be a good substantial/solid one as well, its a bit brutal I know but if its the only way left, Ive done this a few times and its worked for me.. Alan Main Build

I'd suggest retapping the knackered puller holes to the next size up before playing whackfuck with a BFH through the starter hole. Metric is for people who can't do fractions. |

My flywheel welded itself to the crank and stripped the threads. It was a 20min job to re-tap the threads to the next size. Will save having to buy a new flywheel at least.

id say to give matts suggestion a go sounds less brutal than whacking the nuts off it but if it comes to it what else is there to do?

I agree with the re tapping idea as well, the only time I would use the method I described is as a last resort.. Alan Main Build
