My Old chap has pulled a couple of engine out that i had in storage one is a turbo with a 6581 crank in the others an MG

What are 6581's, mg cams and turbo heads going for these days? or is it worth selling the lump complete?

if it is a turbo lump and is tidy it will probably go for more than the sum of its parts on the ebay.

It does not look tidy its got a thick later of gunk on it however i think the gunk has preserved it well, from memory i pulled this out of a mg turbo 10 ish years ago for the gearbox i think it ran fine

If you split em down:-

You prob be looking

£50 block
£60-£70 6581 crank
£50 6232 crank
£50 head
£30 cam (if it's N/A MG otherwise £5)

If the turbo pistons are in good condition they should be worth a couple of quid.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Was Netherlands, now Philippines

I bought a month ago a turbo crank for 130 Euro, the crank itself was in a perfect condition.

I'd pay double these figures!

unless you need the cash, I'd be tempted to keep what you've got; it is only going to get harder and ultimately more expensive as time goes by to get hold of stuff, even if it is for exchange purposes

granted, you probably don't need 4 or 5 spare cranks!

If you're interested John I have a 6581 crank that I'd part exchange for a 6232?

Possibly. What nick is the 6581 in? Why don't you want to use it though?
