Hi guys and gals,

Some more bling for you (did I say that word out loud??!!)......

Anodised aluminium cup washers and stainless steel cap head screws to retain the clutch end cover.
As always, supplied with what you need. In this case, an allen key and Loctite.
£15.00 + VAT for the set.

And....

Heater hose adaptor. Allows the connection of 1/2" to 5/8" hose with style!
£5.00 + VAT.

Both are available in silver, red, blue or black.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

Steve, hope the locktight. You supply is the shake proof type, so the peeps don't need a blow torch to remove the capscrews...... lol

IMO its NOT needed..............

also Steve I must say, the VAT is your stumbling block for you on here, you would be better to sort of machine your parts up on a Sunday so to speak and offer them at the revised prices. You would do much better for your self and our members.

I am sure anyone who is sane would agree!

To be honest I can't see how you could make them for less than £15? With vat thats only £3 for each washer and stainless bolt.

My money is that 99% of your customers are Joe public and will nit be claiming VAT back. I agree with what Steve is saying where you ought to publish your prices with the VAT inclusive.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

We are VAT registered company. You have to be by law if you turn over more that a certain amount. The RetroSport range is a significant part of DSN Classics, not a little side line! The CNC machinery is generally operating all day, 5 days a week.

I tend to quote pre-VAT prices in most public places because not everyone is in the UK. And while most people in the UK know they have to add 20%, few people in outside the EU will know what percentage to remove from the inclusive price.

I'll try to remember to quote inclusive in future on here, but don't rely on my memory *surprised* *happy*

Our new web site (when they finally finish it *oh well* ) will show both exclusive and inclusive figures.

And the Loctite is around £3 out of the total too!

Not sure about the RetroSport stuff specifically, but I believe close to half our turnover is trade/wholesale and around 30% is export. We nearly always get Customs & Excise paying us at the end of each quarter *happy*

Do you mean towing eyes? If so, we only make front ones. If you read them, flick through Mini World or Mini Mag. You'll quickly find a car with them fitted.

I'd say lose the loctite and allen key and drop the price accordingly. I can't imagine anybody not having the tools to fit a caphead screw, and I wouldn't loctite the wok bolts on. Dirt cheap bit of custom bling though *Clapping*

We have chosen to include the Loctite in place of the original use of spring washers. We do it with the timing covers too, mainly for the countersunk screws where no other 'locking' feature is possible. The inclusion of the Allen key is part of our policy of providing all you need to fit our products outside OE specification. It begs the question, would £3 really make or break the deal? Serious question, not having a dig.

As an aside, I fully appreciate that no 'locking' device should be necessary on any fixing that is correctly torqued. However, the factory (in fact, all car factories) used such things. Therefore we felt it appropriate to go down the same route.

Oh, and thanks for the feedback everyone. It is genuinely appreciated.

Why not provide the option to supply the kits with or without the Allen key and loctite? For example I have a 50ml bottle of Loctite and a set of Snap on Allen keys so for me the extra bits are superfluous and so like everyone I'd prefer the £4 or whatever still in my pocket.

But have you got imperial Allen keys ? I didn't have until recently. The ones supplied with the DSN kit are imperial and I've built up a full range from what they sent me :)

Like Tom, I already have the tools. £3 wouldn't break the deal for me, but given the choice I'd rather spend the £3 on more parts from you.
