right hi all ive just built a 1293 engine with the spec of this:

forged 18cc omegas
centremain strap
minispeed turbo cam time in at 110deg
slark stage 3 mpi head
std t3 turbo and actuater
scdrops etc
running a mr2 intercooler
with a compression ratio of 8.1-1
and hif 44 (turbo one )

any ideas to a base needle if im running 8 psi boost thanks charlie

for a base needle ... as in your going to a dyno for a set up? start with a BDD and drive it off boost there

or
start with a high boost needle and see how it goes
imo you should be getting a 12lb carb spring too,

well there are no decent dynos near me (50 mile) :/
so do you reckcon get a hi boost needle from avr classics and a spring and try that on the co machine and in the mean while drive off boost thanks brett

if your fueling is not right you will lose the engine
if your not going to a dyno then buy a wideband sensor and learn how to tune with it
it will end in tears, been there done that
