We (my work) are currently looking at an add on for our Ansys cfd package where all you need to have is inlet and outlet positions and size shape of outlet, what flow or pressure (boundary condition) you require and it calculates the best shape for that pipe/ exhaust / chamber etc. clever stuff. Saves lots of development time in doing changes and te-testing etc.

If we do go for it (it's really expensive). I will try and get some time in it to run some exhaust headers / turbo inlets or outlets or something. Just for fun.
