I know this might be a stupid question but anyway, I im coming very near now to driving my mini and i was wondering as i travel about 50 miles a day will the mini take it. It did for 2 years with the standard 998cc. I travel 22 miles to work. 22 back and then about 8 miles driving around in the night to the gym Etc. |

If you drive it sympathetically and service it regularly and keep your fingers crossed, it should do......

as tom said, it should do, assuming you keep to low boost (8psi) but I doubt you will, I think you'll be trying 12, 13, 14.... before you know it On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

Thanks im keeping my fingers crossed too. If i can keep it running low boost for 6 months or so I will be able to save enough money for the engine rebuild. |

Just fit a 4-pin diff and drive sensibly, servicing regularly with good quality oil.. And rolling road it to make sure that the mixture is right. I donated, but somehow didn't get the label! :( |

Make sure its the right one, don't trust Minisports word for it. If its the "Lucas Sport" coil with the anodised gold casing its the WRONG coil.
