If you really want a grp boot I would buy one. If you want to make a decent job you will have to take a mould of the boot and then use that to make the new skin. By the time you have done this and cocked it up your arms will be full of glass, your fingers will be stuck together and you won't be happy with the result.

Easiest way would be to buy a floppy grp boot and then see if you can bond it to the steel frame.

Youd be better just getting a fibreglass full lid

I had a FG one and was a shocking fit. Ended up buying a steel one back and chopping out the webbing, so it is now waterproof and more rigid than a FG one, and a much better fit. Ally would be nice...

Alloy one would be cool. The Mini door company maybe worth asking? and Alloy rear subframes could be a shout!

The mini door company just buy the skins in.

The fit on my boot lid is actually pretty good. Panel gaps are good and the seal is nice and snug all the way round it.

my mini came with a double skin FG boot lid, fit as well as a square peg in a round hole. sold it on ebay *smiley* not sure where it was originally from though.

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile
