Hi all,

I just want to find out which are better to have mini tastic springs or rubber doughnuts?

I am using lowered adjustable shocks, hi-lo's, adjustable tie bars, adjustable bottom arms and adjustable rear brackets.

So just want to find what would be best, shall I stick to rubber doughnuts or go for the springs? The springs that I am looking at are fast road kit.

The car will be used daily on the road and will be doing a few track days

Cheers

Bobby

doughnuts imo

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

I ran them for a couple of years in the race car before going to coil overs. They do give a more comfortable ride but in turn gave a softer ride. Anti roll bars might remove this but the best part of the doughnuts is the rising rate in resistance as they are compressed. Being such a short spring it is very difficult to replicate in steel without going to a coil over. They did not sag or collapse as rubber can.

Doughnuts. The springs do not have varibable rate like the rubber, which is key to the way the mini suspension works.

The springs can be made to work, but you need to add front and rear ARBs.
