Just wanted to share my new toy with you. I read a post on here (can't remember who posted it) about rust removing and saw a reply from mr Fenton about a 'black and decker power file' that he brought.
As I had a fair bit of rust to remove I decided to get one.....

Well, wow!! What a bit of kit... This thing gets in all the real hard to reach places, I ain't done much to the mini recently cos of the cold garage and work commitments but managed to brave it this evening cos its an enjoyable tool to use. Any of you who need to remove rust or paint in awkward places then this is a must!!

Probably a pointless post but wanted to share!! Merry Christmas to ye all!!

Steve you should get one of these they are ace. They are an electric version of a compressed air belt sander, approx 1/2" belt width.
Other advice I will give, for steel forget the cheapo red grit belts, they are no good wear out in seconds. You want the blue Zirconium/Aluminium oxide belts, more expensive but last ages.

Just don't get the cheepo belts. They are too long and often pop of as soon as you touch the metal.

There are a couple of versions, I got the 400W one, it came with 3 different arms and several belts for around £50.. It's fantastic!

Yes, but shop around as they can be bought for less than that.

I usually get them from ebay. just measure your old belts carefully and get the same length.

Yes I got one after seeing a post from Mr Fenton, you'll find a million uses for it and decent belts can be had for pretty cheap.

Those are the ones I buy. They are decent quality and the correct length.
