ok i am planning on doing that, but im a bit worried that if i do it will get there run fine and leave and the problem comes back as i dont want to take it there running like a bag of bolts pay for the session then have to get the bits to sort it and go back again. it has to be something simple as it runs and not runs there must be a fault when its up to temp or something getting clogged up,it could be a case of dodgy fuel from a garage but thats unlikly. |

Start with the basics. Change all the ignition components and see if it fixes it. Then check your fuel system and pressure etc etc On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

I have had exactly the same symptoms with my ERA, tried everything, replaced every ignition component in turn with known good from another ERA I had, fault stayed with the problem car, ran with a lo gauge on fuel supply for a few runs when it was doing it, and fuel pressure was OK, eventually tracked it down to the rivets on the back of the fuse box being loose and crudded up new fusebox solved it..

Are you using the anti run on valve from the Metro? If so, remove it and blank the connection to the carb. |
