I seriously doubt it! |

Did it many years ago when I was but a boy. Worked OK for storage, but the one that had the 'bench' on it didn't last too long. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:
i tried putting soap on it , and heating it to brown , then slathered my new lube on it

I don't like base units - they're too deep and rarely used shit gathers at the back.

I've had as et of Wickes' cheapie base uints as a workbench for about six years now, with a 30mm worktop as the surface. Not had any real issues other than the 1000 base unit going bendy in the middle as I overloaded the shelves. Didn't affect the carcase integrity, but I'd only ever use 500 base units in the future.

Wall units are perfect for storage, all my odds and sods like WD40 and the like, plus manuals, gaskets and general junk fill them.

I'm using some kitchen style units storage and a bench and they work fine. I would recommend securing the workbench and floor units to the garage wall with some L brackets or similar. Just makes it a bit more sturdy.
