I have a 1986 mini with a metro turbo motor, it has been rebored to 1293, it has an avonbar cam, 1.5 roller rockers, standard carb tho. The problem i have is that it wont idle at less than 2k, if i try to lower the tick over it seems like its hunting ( rev up/die/rev up/die and so on ) cant find any air leaks ! I was wondering if the carb needed jetting ? or do i need a different dizzy ? i saw an old avonbar cataloge and they were selling a specialist one, non electronic with vac. Any Ideas ? Any one ? |

you say it has a standard carb do you mean non turbo hiff44? or the standard turbo carb? Done now needs redoing lol |

Sorry standard turbo carb, thought maybe i needed to use a different needle profile. What distributor do you run ? |

have you blocked off the PRV in the plenum? could that be leaking? |

The plenum has been modified to take a dump valve and also on the lower right side something has been welded up ( standard dump maybe ? ) |

I was going to refit the 1.3s just to try it. Can someone post a pic or diagram of the carb Pipe work please ? Which is the part throttle lean off pipe ? What about the electronic module on the side of the dizzy how should this be wired ? |
