Hi guys,
I just refitted my cylinder head along with a new 1.5 rocker shaft. I already had a Kent 286 fitted.
I got given the double springs so I don't know the specification of them.

What springs should I fit to avoid them binding?
I'm really hoping I don't have to send the shaft back

Any help would be great, cheers guys

Have you fitted any centralising washers at the base of the springs?, if not speak to Benross, I think he has made some.

These keep them apart.

Edit : I may have misread the post, if the coils are binding I.e bottoming out then you obviously need to change the springs or review your setup, thus my above statement is bollocks.

i had this issue (assuming yours bind on full compression), the kent website tells you which springs suit the cam and order them up.
only thing is unless you have an account with them, so they advised me of a company up north to place the order with, unfortunatly i cant remember there name

The site recommends springs VS2. Which mini sport have got for 50 squid. (Just the first place I looked).
I think I remember reading somewhere that Kent cams where designed to be ran with a 1.5 rocker, could someone confirm this? I just don't want to buy more stuff then find its never going to work

In general, Kent cams work well with 1.5. And should work well with your setup.

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Surely that's down to the individual cam and it's intended use?
