I've just bought one, and this has got some fancy threads in it. Has anyone any tips on how to overcome this? On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |

Usually they come with a pair of adaptors to AN-3. You can buy these from any decent Motorsport shop, I had to buy some for a second hand valve once, I think from Merlin Motorsport but may be wrong as was 10+ years ago. The threads in the valve are some strange tapered effort.

I had this problem. why all the valves come like this and don't have the adapters with them is bloody annoying.

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:
I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry. |

Are they 1/8" NPT? Search Torques on ebay they do nice black anodised adaptors I seriously doubt it! |
