I am looking at a set of pistons, would these work for a turbo set-uo or is it more for NA engines

Sorry for not knowing your project intimately, but what sort of power/boost are you planning?

Most pistons will be ok with moderate boost (assuming suitable CR, fuelling and ignition control).

Moderate = <10psi

Sorry I should of explained more clearly.

I am running a hybrid GT15/t2 turbo with a 360 degrees thrust bearing, with a uprated actutator, mirage manifold, turbo phils head with 24cc chambers, hardened valve seats, double springs ect & a Megajolt system. The block is a standard metro turbo at the moment and the gearbox is a standard metro turbo, but with a 4 pin diff, straight cut drop gears and a 3.1 final drive. Fuelling will just be the standard turbo carb, with a metro turbo fuel reg and a facet electric fuel pump. I am running a dump valve off the plenum and a intercooler as well

I am not sure what sort of PSI i should be running, as this is my first turbo build.

Hope fully this helps

Cheers

Bobby

I personally wouldn't use em in an N/A engine never mind a forced induction one.

Do yourself a favour and buy some 10cc Omega's from MED and forget about these.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Also, dump the facet fuel pump. It's not up to the job.

Or an MPI fuel tank as it has a 3bar fuel pump in it.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

I would love to use the MPI tank, but I am doing a conversion in my clubby estate, so MPI will not work

I've seen too many of these break up in NA engines to even start thinking about boost.

Metric is for people who can't do fractions.

i would take the 10s and mod the head to suit the cr the crown is chunky as fook in my 10s and i think that helps them with the abuse they get they sit 0.5mm down a std block also so you can use that to lower the cr at the expence of squish

I am going to use the 18's on my build but I have my reasons,
Omegas are the best blown pistons for sure

I am not sure what CR I should be aiming for, I want to use the car as a daily drive and some track days if this helps to give me a indication of what CR I should be looking at to achieve
