If it is a roda car I have a nagging feeling that you must be able to fill it from the outside of the car to pass the mot.

Could be wrong though??

I have seen standard road cars with the filler caps in the boot, but I can;t remember what car is was, but it was a factory fit. I'll be getting mine mot'd soon, we'll find out then if he will pass it

newcastle upon tyne

shouldnt matter as ive seen other modded motors with them in door pillars inside car so you have to open door and put petrol in cap behind driver which goes to tank under car.
