hi guys. been sorting my mini stuff to move everything to an other location for the 9th and hopfully last time (3 mini's an estate and 3 truckloads of interiors and parts) but annyway whille i was sorting i noticed that i have 3 12g9... heads with what seem to be big valves (nearly touch each other in the center) and 2 of them have very big inlets and outlets. than i have a 4th 12g... head with smaller valves but this one has locator rings (metro i think) and than i have the longmann head who i was planning on using for the charged engine...

now with finding those heads i was starting to think about what head would be the best head to use... (all except the long man have the number 12g 9 something)

one of them has 11 holes but than again i think that doesn't mater since they can all be modded to 11 holes.

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

Best head to use will depend on what you're using it for. Tell us more.

measure the valve diameter, look for double springs, look for any number stamped near the thermostat housing.

its for a 1330 that i want to supercharge with a blow trough setup (i know i know superchargers........ )
8.5 cr (aprox) and 10 to 12 psi of boost (since i heard you cant get more than that out of a eaton charger) gona look for the numbers on the thermostat house first thing tomorrow

serious?? than all the boost calculators on the web are shit crap.... (used 20 of them to calculate what pulley size i needed some says the same) than there is no need to go at 8.5cr? 9 cr will be low enough than. shit 7 is low... it just happens that i was given an eaton and turbos are so daim expensive over here (and more complicated in my eyes) and there are no supercharged minis in belgium yet

You can run 12psi, but any more than 7 and they just make heat. Seen a few people that make slightly more power with 7psi than 12.

Personally I would try and find a supercharger better suited to the engine.

thats why i was happy with the eaton... i thought if it can give boost to a 1600 cc engine it will give good boost to a 1300 cc engine (and like a said it came from a mate of me who works in a bini garage) if i decide not to use it i will go turbo. (something small so i cant over blow the engine)

bit off topic but this was what the exel sheat came up with... so this is bullsh....?
Boost Calculator for Positive-Displacement Blower
© Black2003Cobra 3/8/2008

Assuming an ideal intercooler, it can be shown that:

Elevation = 2000 (ft)
Patm = 14,50 (psi) Atmospheric pressure at elevation
DP = 1 (psi) Pressure drop across inlet tract ahead of blower
VEsc = 0,9 Supercharger volumetric efficiency
DISPsc = 0,775 (Liters) Supercharger displacement
VEe = 0,9 Engine volumetric efficiency referred to intake manifold conditions
VEe = 1,33 (Liters) Engine displacement
Upper = 2,48 (in) Supercharger pulley diameter
Lower = 4 (in) Crank pulley diameter

Pb 10,9 (psi) Boost pressure

when developing the amd cooper s , it ran up to 15 then 17 psi , power went up to a max of around 250 bhp .this with the original eaton blower. the kit settled on 15 psi ,with the amd pulley .

Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM
